IMPORTANT CHANGES IN SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR
THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR
The Towanda Area High School will be doing sports physicals during the school day this year...
We will be doing physicals for 6th graders entering 7th grade on June 3rd in the Elementary nurse’s office starting at 8AM.
We will be doing physicals for students entering 8th - 12th grade on June 3rd and 5th. (Students will be called to the nurse’s office) Please have your PIAA physical completed and handed in by May 30th with a check payable to THS Athletic Dept. The cost of the physical is $16.50. Physicals will not be done if the paperwork is not completed and payment is not with the physical.
All sections of the PIAA physicals must be completed. Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 by the parent or guardian. Section 6 is for the Doctor to fill out.
Students entering 9th - 12th grade can participate in the following sports:
Fall – Boys/Girls Cross Country, Football, Golf, Boys/Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Football Cheerleader and K-Detts Band front.
Winter – Boys/Girls Basketball, Boys/Girls Swimming, Wrestling, Basketball Cheerleader, Wrestling Cheerleader and K-Detts Dance Team
Spring – Baseball, Softball, Boys Tennis and Boys/Girls Track & Field
Students entering 7th and 8th grade can participate in the following sports:
Fall – Boys/Girls Jr. High Cross Country, Jr. High Football, and Jr. High Girls Volleyball.
Winter – Boys/Girls Jr. High Basketball, Boys/Girls Jr. High Swimming and Jr. High Wrestling.
Spring – Boys/Girls Jr. High Track and Field.
(Please sign on the PIAA form by what sport your child is interested in.)
Please look over paperwork as there are many places that need to be signed by the parent/guardian and the student. Please hand into the main office or nurse’s office.
