Ted Foust Awarded the Boy Scout Silver Beaver Award

ln that position he often worked one-on-one with young Scouts
who couldn't swim and he has coached countless youth from, non-swimmer"
to "BSA Swimmer." His extraordinary patience and
quiet strength bring out the best in many of the Scouts, their
leaders, and fellow camp staffers.
While he spends his summers at camp, he also shares his time with
other scout and non-scout groups relating to water activities. He
also serves throughout the year, including with the Cub Scout
Lock-ln and the 4H waterfront programs at Brule' before camp
opens.
Professionally, he teaches a second-grade class in the Towanda
Area School District. He is an integral staff member for the annual
sixth-grade environmental camp held at Camp Brule'. He has an
incredible talent for listening to young people, identifying their
potential, and supporting them through the process of reaching for
realistic goals. His everyday life exemplifies the values of
Scouting. Each of the 12 points of the Scout Law describes this
