Principal's Message

It is hard to believe that the new school year is here, but it is!  We welcome to the 2022-23 school year !  If you have any specific questions, need information concerning schedules, questions about practices and protocols, or have the need to speak with a principal or counselor, please do not hesitate to contact us at the high school and we will be happy to assist you!

Our curriculum initiatives at the high school include Advanced Placement courses, many dual enrollment opportunities, our Level Up Program through Lackawanna College, the Independent Apprenticeship Program, and career and technical courses through the Northern Tier Career Center.   We are especially excited about our new partnership with Commonwealth University which guarantees any Towanda senior who applies admission, on-campus housing, and eligibility for merit-based scholarships for students specifically pursuing a 4-year program at any of their campuses.  To qualify, students who are interested should apply to any bachelor’s degree program at a Commonwealth University campus no later than December 15th of their senior year and graduate from Towanda Jr/Sr High School.  We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting opportunity for Towanda students!

We also feel strongly that getting students involved in activities beyond the regular school day is an important part of being a successful student.  One of the benefits of our high school is the number of opportunities we offer for student participation in extracurricular activities.  Our student clubs and organizations, award-winning musical, art groups, and athletic teams offer students the chance to contribute to something meaningful to them.

Our Black Knight Team welcomes you to participate in your child’s education.  Together, we can work to foster resilient, hard-working, well-rounded students who are ready to take on the ever-changing world around them.

We are looking forward to an exciting year!
