Dear Towanda Area Elementary Community and Families
Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year! Thank you for reading our Towanda Area Elementary page.
I would like to introduce myself. I will begin this year as the administrator of the Towanda Area Elementary School. I graduated from Towanda School District, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and obtained additional certifications through the University of Pittsburgh. The beginning of this school year marks my 28th year as a teacher and administrator in public schools. Many of you know my husband and son, who I am proud to say, are also Towanda School District graduates.
I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer. I also hope you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new school year. I am so delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and I look forward to working with you and your children.
All signs point to another incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff is already planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our enthusiastic office team is registering new families, ordering needed materials and updating student files. Our hard working and conscientious custodians have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the facility. We are indeed a joyous and caring community with the common goals of nurturing responsible, caring students and promoting high-level learning.
Each year brings positive change. This includes a few additions to our staff. We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Jessika Davis as a learning support teacher. We are equally delighted to see the return of Mrs. Tiffanie Jayne to TAES from the High School. We also have a number of new and newly transferred paraprofessionals working in our building. Mr. Zackary Johnson has transferred from J. Andrew Morrow; Mrs. Tammy Howard has transferred from the High School. New to the district paraprofessionals, include Ms. Brooke Williams, Ms. Shymra Baker, and Ms. Erin Johnson. There is a change in the cafeteria as well as Ms. Missy Fiske will be joining the team here.
ALL of our staff works hard to make school a positive experience for ALL students. Towanda Area Elementary and Towanda School District looks forward to enriching your child’s life. Thank you to parents and guardians for collaborating with us to make your child’s school experience positive and successful. Thank you to all who are helping prepare for the new school year. Your commitment to insuring that TAES is a celebrated and effective school is awe-inspiring. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families.
