Welcome to Speech!

Hello! I’m Natalie Wheaton, the Speech Language Pathologist for J. Andrew Morrow Primary School. I began teaching at Towanda in 2016, however my roots in Towanda started growing long before then. I grew up in Towanda where I attended JAM, TAMS, and THS. I was a basketball cheerleader, played JV and Varsity softball, and enjoyed cheering on other sports teams; Go Black Knights!! After graduating in 2005, I attended Bloomsburg University where I earned a B.S. in Audiology and Speech Pathology. I then attended Nazareth College of Rochester where I then earned my M.S. in Speech Language Pathology with a concentration in deafness and cochlear implants. I have a wide range of professional interests including Phonology, Apraxia, Hearing loss, Alternative Communication, Autism, and Sign Language, to name a few. Following graduate school I moved to Philadelphia where I worked in Early Intervention. I currently reside in Towanda with my husband, Tyler, and two dogs, Piper and Jasmine. I am proud to be a member of this wonderful community! Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing trivia, attending sporting events, and boating. I look forward to many fun-filled years at TASD!
