The Pennsylvania deadline for submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is May 1st.   Please note that for seniors interested in attending college in 2019-20 the FAFSA application start date has changed to OCTOBER 1st.  To get started please visit the FAFSA website.  Additionally, there is more information regarding state and federal financial aid deadlines and changes on the PHEAA website.

Scholarship Information – Juniors

Information is available concerning the 2019 Coolidge Scholarship.  Any high school junior who plans on enrolling in college in the fall of 2020 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply.  The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four=year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for4 undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United State.  Applications and additional information is available at www.coolidgescholars.org  The application deadline is 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23. 

 

Scholarship Information - Seniors

Information is available from the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program.  Applications must be high school seniors who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Applications and additional information are available online at www.reganfoundation.org/scholarships or www.facebook.com/gereaganscholarshps and must be submitted by January 4, 2019.

 

Information is available from the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program.  Applicants must be high school seniors having a demonstrated commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, integrity and leadership.  Applications are available online at www.learnmore.scholarsapply.org/leadersandachievers  The application deadline is December 7, 2018.

 

Information is now available from Community Foundation on various local scholarships available.  Applications and instructions are available online at www.communityfund.org  Click on the “students” link and the top of the page and follow the instructions.  The Community Foundation also sponsors the A Hope 4 Lyme Scholarship, the George Douglas/LPGA Corning Classic Scholarship, and the Twin Tiers Youth for Chris Scholarship Applications and information for these scholarships are available in the guidance office.  The application deadline is February 14, 2019.

 

Information is available from the Epilepsy Association Western & Central PA concerning their annual scholarship. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have epilepsy/seizure disorder and going on to post-secondary school. Applications are available in the guidance office.  The application deadline is March 16, 2019.

 

Information has been received from Burger King Scholars. This scholarship is for

Seniors.  You must have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible and be active in your community through volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations.  Applications are available @ WWW.BURGERKINGSCHOLARS.COM.  The deadline is Dec. 15, 2018

 

 Information concerning the 2019 Blair E. Caboot Memorial Scholarship has been received from Northeastern PA Council of Teachers of Mathematics.  Applicants must attend school in one of the following counties: Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike Susquehanna, Sullivan, Wayne or Wyoming; must excel in mathematics in high school and have future plans in a mathematics related field.  Applications are available online at www.npctm.org.  The application window is open from October 15, 2018 through March 1, 2019.

 

Information is available concerning the B. Davis Scholarship.  Applicants must be high school seniors planning to further his/her education.  Applications and information are available at www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships The application deadline is May 24, 2019.
