The Pennsylvania deadline for submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is May 1st.   Please note that for seniors interested in attending college in 2019-20 the FAFSA application start date has changed to OCTOBER 1st.  To get started please visit the FAFSA website.  Additionally, there is more information regarding state and federal financial aid deadlines and changes on the PHEAA website.

Scholarship Information – Juniors

Information concerning the Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program is available.  Applicants can be high school juniors and seniors, as well as currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.  Additional information is available online at www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm  The application deadline is June 14, 2019.

 

Information is available concerning the B. Davis Scholarship.  Applicants must be high school juniors or seniors planning to further his/her education.  Applications and information are available at www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm  The application deadline is May 24, 2019.

 

Scholarship Information – Seniors

**Information is available from the C & N Bank concerning the Joseph R. Every Scholarship.  Applicants must be a high school senior in Bradford or Tioga County, PA or Chemung County, NY; be accepted to an accredited college, university or professional school in a program leading to a degree in education, medicine or engineering; a minimum GPA of 2.0. Additional information is available in the guidance office.  Applications must be received by March 29, 2019.  The application is available online in a fillable form format allowing applicants to type directly in the applications at www.cnbankpa.com  (Click on About, Community Matters, Scholarships and Grants, Joseph R. Every Scholarship Application.) The committee prefers typewritten format.  When completing the Student Activities and Hours section, please properly complete that section, following the sample format.

 

**Information from the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers concerning the Towanda Musical Society Scholarship is now available.  Applicants must be a resident of Bradford County, accepted into the music department of an accredited college or university pursing a degree in music.  Applications are available in the guidance office. The application deadline is March 21, 2019.

 

** Information is available from the Society of Women Engineers concerning the Margaret R. Brewster Scholarship.  Applicants must be female high school seniors planning to further her education and plan to major in an ABET accredited engineering or computer science program.  SWE also has a national program with scholarship opportunities.  Applications and additional information are available online at www.twintiers.swe.org  The application deadline is March 29, 2019.

 

**Information is available from the PA Association of Educational Office Professionals concerning the Hermine Solt Student Scholarship.  Applicants must be high school seniors planning to pursue a higher education with a major in a business-related field.  The application is available online at www.paeop.com under the award and scholarships tab.  The application deadline is March 15, 2019.

                                                                       

 

 

Scholarship Information – Seniors Cont.

**Information is available concerning the Mike Rowe Work Ethic Scholarship.  Applicants must be entering a field in skilled trades and understand the importance of work ethic, personal responsibility, delayed gratification and positive attitude.  Applications are available online at www.mikeroweworks.org/scholarship and must be submitted by March 28, 2019.

 

Information is available concerning the Craftmaster Federal Credit Union Scholarship.  Applicants must be a member of the Craftmaster Federal Credit Union continuing his or her education in a field of their choice on a fulltime basis.  Applications and additional information are available in the guidance office.  The application deadline is April 30, 2019.

 

Information concerning the Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority, David T. Terrill Environmental Scholarship is available.  Applicants must be a resident of Bradford, Sullivan or Tioga County, PA planning to further his/her education in a field related to the environment. Applications are available in the guidance office, the application deadline is April 5, 2019. 

 

Information is available from the National Federation of the Blind of PA concerning available scholarships.  Information is available in the guidance office or online at www.nfb.org/scholarships  The application deadline is March 31, 2019.

 

Information is available from the Epilepsy Association Western & Central PA concerning their annual scholarship. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have epilepsy/seizure disorder and going on to post-secondary school. Applications are available in the guidance office.  The application deadline is March 16, 2019.

Information concerning the 2019 Blair E. Caboot Memorial Scholarship has been received from Northeastern PA Council of Teachers of Mathematics.  Applicants must attend school in one of the following counties: Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike Susquehanna, Sullivan, Wayne or Wyoming; must excel in mathematics in high school and have future plans in a mathematics related field.  Applications are available online at www.npctm.org.  The application window is open from October 15, 2018 through March 1, 2019.
