Hi! Welcome to kindergarten. I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. We are going to have a marvelous year full of learning and growth. I have been teaching kindergarten in the Towanda Area School District since August of 2007 and can't think of a more wonderful place to teach. I grew up in East Smithfield, PA and am a graduate of Athens High School. After graduation, I attended Mansfield University where I received a BS in Elementary Education. Recently, I attended Wilkes University where I received a MS in Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Literacy. I am certified to teach grades K-6 in PA as well as birth to 3rd grade in Virginia. In addition to kindergarten, I have also taught K4 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time in an early childhood classroom. Teaching young children is such a joy as they find such great excitement in their learning.
In addition to teaching, I also enjoy spending time with my family along with reading, cooking, dabbling in photography, exercising and gardening. I am looking forward to teaching your child and getting to know both you and your child better. I am a firm believer in working together with families to help our students be the very best that they can be. I just love this quote by Helen Keller, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Together, we can provide the very best for our children.
