Reading
We are in full reading mode! We are doing guided reading, group reading, and reading to each other. While in guided reading, we meet in small groups to target specific reading skills while reading. In reading to each other, we read big and small books to a peer taking turns and discuss the text. In independent reading, we read books that are "just right" for our reading levels and keep them in our book bins which we fill once a week. We also read and play a Literacy based app, Smarty Ants, on the iPads. This is one of the students' favorite activities and they can access this at home as well.
