A One Act Play Showcase will be held on Sunday, January 22nd at 3:00 P.M. at the Towanda Jr/Sr High School Auditorium. The plays presented will be the ones that the students performed at the Pennsylvania High School Speech League State One Act Play Festival. Schools performing will be Athens High School (finalist), Sayre High School (third place), Towanda High School (second place), and the winning team from Shikellamy High School. 

There will be a wide range of themes in the plays presented by these outstanding young people. Six of these young actors were named to the All-State Cast of ten actors. Plays presented will be Athens-“Do Not Go Gentle;” Sayre-“First Baptist of Ivy Gap;” Towanda-“Dark Road;” and Shikellamy-“The Insanity of Mary Gerard.” 

This will be a fundraiser for the Towanda Speech & Drama Team. Admission is $8. The box office will open at 2:30 P.M. Please come and support these young people who have worked so hard to attain this level of performance.
