Based on the updated Department of Education’s School Closure Matrix, the Towanda Jr/Sr High School will continue with in-person instruction. The Jr/Sr High School currently has 3 positive cases that count towards the school closure matrix. As a medium-sized building, the Jr/Sr High School would need to close for a period of 2-3 days with the onset of 4 cases in the building when Bradford County is in the Substantial category.
I cannot emphasize enough how much we need your help in keeping our buildings open. PLEASE do not send your students to school if they are not feeling well or you have a potential Covid-19 situation that could potentially involve them. We would rather you err on the side of caution with these types of situations.
