One Act Play

Congratulation to the THS One Act Play Team!!! The team placed Second at the Pennsylvania High School Speech League State One Act Play Festival. Two students were named to the All-State Cast: Kathryn Christian & Ezoza Ismailova. The team performed the play, "Dark Road" by Laura Lundgren Smith. The play takes place in various locations in Germany during and after World War II and in the Nazi camp at Ravensbruk which was an all-female prison camp. The students gave an outstanding, compelling performance and received many great comments from the judges at the competition.

THS Yearbook Staff Celebrating the Giving Spirit

Thanks to the generosity of members of the community, Towanda Area High School’s yearbook staff gave the unique gift of a yearbook to students who otherwise would not have been able to purchase one. This was a first for Towanda’s yearbook staff under direction of Advisor Jason Strickland.

Angel Tree Program

The spirit of giving is alive and well at THS. Junior High student Council students proved that by bringing in a large amount of gifts for the Angel Tree program. They only had one weekend to shop and came in with gifts that will make a little girl's Christmas special.
